PowerPC Platforms

NComm TMS® Development Platforms

NComm TMS® Development Platforms get you up and running even faster. Whether you plan to build or buy your network interface, our modular design philosophy carries through to hardware platforms also. Our platforms allow your engineers to start testing before your in-house hardware designs are complete.

Whichever platform you choose, our Telecom Interface Modules include a wide variety of industry standard framers incorporating technology from industry leaders such as Maxim, Lantiq, and PMC-Sierra (see link).

Salem and Derry

The Salem II motherboard is built around the Motorola 860 microprocessor. The Derry motherboard is built around the Motorola 8260 PowerQUICC IIT microprocessor. Both platforms can accommodate up to four NComm TMS Telecom Interface Modules (TIMs); our Quad Line Interface Unit TIM can be stacked to provide a full M13 Multiplexer in just one slot.
